MyOnlineBand.com was created by musicians who met online and where looking for a better way to collaborate.

All the software, content, and artwork used on this site is created and maintained by the community. We are made up of professional software architects and developers, graphic artists, and music industry professionals who share passion for music and a desire to make the world a more interesting place.

Our website allows amateur and professional songwriters, producers, musicians, artists to collaborate using online workspaces, extend their professional networks, and to publish and promote their music.

John Ciliberti

John is a professional software architect with over 10 years experience building and designing software solutions for Fortune 500 companies and emerging Internet firms. He is also an accomplished musician and songwriter. He has a degree in music from William Paterson University and has studied under NYC jazz greats such as Vic Juris.

John started MyOnlineBand.com as a way to help him complete a song dedicated to his daughter Maria who was suffering from a major medical issues. Four other musicians joined this first project and helped John complete “A Prayer for Maria”.

When John is not too busy writing new features for the site, he can be found creating new music under the alias of his alter ego "Sharkboy".
