MyOnlineBand 4.0 is a major upgrade that offers many new features and an updated look.
New Features
Updated Members Dashboard
The members dashboard is the first page our members see after they log-in to the site. It allows you to quickly access all or your projects, see summary of all activities on the site that interest you as well showing if you have any pending tasks or personal
messages.
- News Feed - This new feature shows a list of everything that has been posted to any projects you are working on whether they have been started by you, you have added them to your favorites or you have posted a comment or a file. It will also show
you links to new songs posted by your bandmates and favorite artists.
- New Tabs - The dashboard page is now broken down into 4 tabs including your news feed tab which in additional to the feed also shows you if you have any email messages or pending tasks. A task is an action you must take such as approving a comment
or reviewing an audition to one of your bands. The other tabs show song workspaces you have created, song workspaces you have posted to and the last tabs gives you quick access to your published songs.
New Publishing Features
MyOnlineBand.com Song Collaboration workspaces have always allowed the project coordinator publish the songs to the media library. This functionality has been greatly enhanced as now gives the artists more control on where the completed song will appear on
the site and beyond.
- Get you song on iTunes -MyOnlineBand has partnered with KFP Records to publish selected completed collaborations to iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and other online music outlets and will sign you as an artist so that you can receive royalties for any record
sales.
- Allow Song to appear on contributors profiles -Nw when you publish a song you can designate that in addition to the song appearing on your artist profile page, the song will also appear on the pages of the artists you have credited as contributors.
This gives the completed song more exposure and allows others to display the results of their efforts on their profiles.
