I had some people who use the site help with art work and other stuff in the past but it was somewhat difficult.
GitHub is a very standard way to do this and they have a bunch of things built in that let you validate a submission before you merge it into the main code branch. You can read a bit about it here:

I understand. How to find and reach/contact contributors; that was my vision. Where are they\? Will they see what you post? How to attrackt them? If they are found and attracted how to build a relation or keep them interested and contributing? What if their contribution is degrading the existing site? How to guarantee the quality of your site?

Two main goals of going open source:
- Rebuild on modern open source programming stack
- Hand over development to the community so that site can keep going even if I no longer have time

Great. For me as a user to complex. From my marketing knowledge i say: advertise amongst people who are able to do programming etc. Most of myonlinemembers are musicians with user knowledge of computers. So the market niche for finding people is
- computerexperts/technicians/academic/bachelor with affinity to music
- musicians with knowledge of modern programming;
perhaps they can be find at all kind of music universities; these universities/colleges mostly have a department with programming, music science, sound editing or marketing & music business. Perhaps there are young people who are great in programming and want to have fun or want to prepare for a study and job in this kind of programming. Lots of talented computer people nowadays in India, China, Japan, etc.

I just create a project on Taiga, which is an open source agile project management app.
We will be using this in conjunction with GitHub for Source Control and Travis CI for continuous integration and deployment.
If you don't code but would like to help us track requirements, feel free to contribute.

Just posted the February update.
- You will now get an email after creating a new workspace with a link to the workspace and some other stuff

You can see the full list of fixes here

The fact that I can post this.comment proves my account was not accidentally deleted, huhh :) Many thanks for your efforts. Johnny, now it's your turn, be the first to save a track on the new drive - if possible to my workspace :)))

I just added an additional 30GB of space. This should be enough to last us a while.
2/17/2016 8:08:32 AM
I am doing two things for the space issue:
- Buying additional cloud storage
- Deleting dead accounts.
Messages do not really take up much space. I would not delete them unless you want to.
Deleting files will help a little in the short term but does not solve that we have 11,000 people sharing around 60GB of space.
I found around 1000 accounts that have not logged in since 2011. I will be deleting all of them.

Deleting old messages and unnecessary files should be a huge help, right?
2/16/2016 10:10:59 PM
That's something I could also do. Some of my published workspaces have over 10 files, where only the final one is interesting.
Still, many thanks for operating this site!

Does it help if we delete files that are no longer needed? I'm thinking individual tracks of instruments where further mixes have already been done. Maybe we could do it collectively as a community event...

I need to upgrade the storage on the server. We are running out of space.
2/15/2016 6:32:19 PM
Works now :D

I just hit the same snag. Acts like its uploading and then jams up. I was creating a new workspace at the time.
2/15/2016 3:31:54 PM
For some reason I can't upload an mp3. I've tried IE, Firefox and Chrome and each one is the same. It loads like it uploads but doesn't get added to the page.

Hey Shark, trying to publish, but cannot accomplish the task... keeps giving me the Ugh error... let me know if there is anything I need to do.
