Forgot all about this one. Maybe time to clean up and publish properly....

Perhaps i can fix the bass:
if it is just quantisation it is a quick job ...
if it is more ... perhaps you better can do it
or give me more details so i know what you mean.
I also am happy with the new sound.
Its mainly the phase correction that gives enormous improvements.
It gives more depth, sound / timbre and stereo feel.

No effects on the master track.
This resulted in much better/more natural ride cymbal sound.
But ...has less volume, punch and body than the track with master effects.
Lots of (master) effects use Noise gates. They remove all sounds below a certain volume and that results in strange un natural ride ride cymbal sounds without the natural decay.
105 bpm rock ballad without ma

Upgraded drum sound apr. 16 2015.
I also can upload with less effects.
Ride cymbal perhaps will be better than.
This upload is a fat thick full bodied sound.
I got nothing to say drums

Johnny ; if you upload you easy to forget keys wihtout drums i can load them in my project and mix with my new drums.
I also am willing to upload my new quality drums so you can experiment with it.
Phase corrections, new methods for quantisation and more understanding of and experience with EQ etc. does improve the overall quality of my drum sound. I am able to upgrade old drumtracks.

i have dry tracks, for instance bass, and can put them in drop box
3/9/2015 4:58:29 PM
So it only took me two months to take the flanger off the bass....

Tim I will post a slightly different instrumental track . I've taken a lot of heat for what I did with the bass on that last one :)
1/19/2015 8:48:40 PM
It has the qualities of a hit song, actually. Do make a really clean demo and shop around. :)

Thanks Geej! The funny part is I originally offered it to the band I gig with and they didn't like it! :)

Oh my, this is really beautiful, Johnny.

This is an instrumental version with a mellow feel, except for the bass. Really liked what jm was playing so I threw a flanger on it and cranked it up (like Squire on Tormato)
1/16/2015 5:24:45 PM
Johnny a fresh copy of the instrumental would be great so I can do a fresh clean vocal man

First go at sorting out the various files that have been uploaded. This is a gentler mix using jm's drums and bass mix with his lead added a second time, henk's drums, johnny's piano with the organ removed, everybody's vocals, though I suspect this wasn't Tim's final. Rough mix only.
