These are the dogs I had access to. No howling unfortunately.

Challenge accepted...can you post a current full mix of what you have so far?

The Gravy train has arrived! Glad to see you back!  I've been given a decent bass track by someone already, but I'm still open to new ideas.  I'm especially looking for something badass for the long dark middle-section (stone, stone, stone, stone part).  I'm looking for a gradually building synth part that crescendos into a powerful solo, akin to synth solo in Floyd's Welcome To The Machine.  It's gotta be something badass and cool, and not overly flashy or cheesy sounding.  I think it'd also be cool to throw in some speech and/or atmospheric sound clips that have anti-corporate, anti-establishment themes.  I think this would especially be up your alley and would be poignant given the current political landscape of the 2016 election!  Have fun w/ it!

Is the bass track in stone yet?

Great tone on this! Can you try recording a lead solo for the middle section that sounds badass with this?  Something bombastic, like drilling teeth, but not overly cheesy.  The synth solo at the end of "Welcome To The Machine" is a good reference, but have fun with it and make it your own!  Awesome work so far Johnny!

This was a different take designed to fit in at 8:00:00. It has much more of that welcome to the machine ping pong style echo. I remember copying that effect back in the 70's by running a synth through a Sony reel to reel and feeding the left track into the right while recording.

This is a low-res file, due to the size of the original. Its a submix of where all the keys sit from beginning to end mixed with your original file. It will give you a better idea of where I was fitting things in.

Awesome idea Jonny!! I'm having trouble syncing it up to the main track. Can you post a scratch mix of this part over the whole mix so I know what it's supposed to sound like?

Would love to hear your other versions!  I was wondering if you could do a synth solo that is less flashy, but with a bigger, fatter, ethereal tone - kinda like the synth at the end of Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt-udg9zQSE

Also, do you have finalized keyboard parts for the other portions of the song?

I have a couple of bombastic synth takes but I don't know if it's too over the top... I'll clean up the best and post them for you.

Yeah, I loved "Floydin' Around"! I think WarmGravy was finishing that one up after I laid down the guitar.  Any progress on Dogs?!

I'll throw something in! Hey remember a track called Floyding Around? It would be great with a vocal track...

Really eerie backing synth!  Are you gonna throw on some bombastic synth solo at any point?  That could sound awesome!

In length this syncs up with the master track. I left the strings and synths in to help match it up. Still looking for some more quote clips. Somewhere I have some historic 78's kicking around...

Thanks Johnny! Take the time you need to make it sound great.  You've not let me down yet!  We'll make something awesome with Pigs and Sheep too.  I'll have scratch tracks ready for those soon.

I haven't fallen off the edge of the earth, working on the middle section this weekend. Thinking about Pigs and Sheep....

Sick man! I didn't realize it was so hard to recreate.
