Dr Cube's Online Synch Tone Maker
The Kompoz Tutorials on Synch Tones and how to use them
The Quick Explanation
A sync tone is a short audio clip that you add to the beginning of a stem (track). It is an artificial sound (snare hit, hand clap, etc.) that is not intended to be part of the finished song. It's a marker. Its purpose is to help you align multiple tracks of a collaboration. If all tracks include the same sync tone, then it makes it easy to align the individual tracks in your DAW, by simply aligning to the sync tones.
Sync tones should have a distinctive, easily-viewable pattern. Multiple sharp (and short) sounds are best, with short periods of silence between the sounds. Three taps on a high-hat, for example, works well. It can be anything. The key is that all tracks must include the sync tone, and all recording must be made relative (in time) to the original track's sync tone.

I've just listened to the original concept, and there was a bass line in that... I didn't actually do that, but I'll attempt to reproduce the original bass line, as mine wasn't very good... I've also tabbed this song out, and I will upload the tabs as well once I've completed the bass.
5/28/2014 3:36:56 PM
I've uploaded the bass track and "completed it" by stitching together what I have...
BTW, if everyone is up for it, I'm happy to re-record this whole song again so it is in time...

It isn't a constant rate. I think it should be 115 but it drifts between 110 and 115.
There is some bass but it's only half done. I'll send it through.

OK. I found most of it... I had to reconstruct the vocals (as I cut up the original to create a gap for the solo).
I also found that the overhead drums were not quite in sync when I imported the tracks so I had to move them to line up in time...
I'll render the vocals, and two guitar parts as mp3 to save space for now...

OK great... now the pressure is on for me to find my files... I thought I had them, but now I've got the drum tracks from shattered, they don't line up... I'll keep looking...

Finally got them up. I used 6 Mics: Mic-1) KICK Mic-2) SNARE Mic-3) OVERHEAD (This mic is just behind my right shoulder at about head height and pointed down toward the top back of kick drum)
Mics-4),5),6) TOMS ( Mic 4 = 12" rack tom panned full right.........Mic 5= 13" rack tom panned centre.....Mic 6= 16"floor tom panned full left.
May have got my lefts and rights mixed up, but I'm sure you get the idea.
Cool! Can't wait to hear what you do with it!

Sounds Good, But i need separate Tracks for mixing in stereo Greetz Bommie
5/18/2014 1:41:23 AM
without separate drum tracks ,I can't make a stereo image of the drums,it would be great if Shattered Image make separate parts,so i can mix & Master in pro style
5/18/2014 1:00:21 AM
Bommie, I've found my original files, but I do not have a separate drum track for the excellent work Shattered Image did on drums.
Without separate drum tracks, there probably isn't a huge amount of point in remixing it all is there?
